Wednesday With Some Words…Zion’s Majesty…..

I have been using a lot of photographs that Darcy and I took last weekend in Zion National Park.  To be honest, we took a lot of pictures and really didn't photography anywhere near all of beauty that is Zion National Park.  I was still not feeling 100 percent, and wasn't sure if I was recovering or getting worse, so I didn't want  ride the bus to the Lodge or into that part of Zion Canyon.

We also had planned to go to St. George, so I didn't drive up through the tunnels and to Checkerboard Mesa area.  Anyway, we still got some very beautiful shots and here is one:

Monday’s Motivational Thought…On Tuesday

This is a post that I tried for over an hour yesterday to upload a photo into, finally, frustrated I left it in draft mode hoping that today I would be able to post it!  I was able to post it on the 6th attempt.  I tried uploading in 3 different browsers, Chrome, Firefox and Explorer.  Finally in uploaded in Chrome on the second time around the circuit.  I hope that Active Rain was having issues and this doesn't become a common occurrance!

I know that it is getting late in the afternoon on Monday, but I wanted to write something to post today.  It is great to get back into a routine.  Not that anything about this industry is actually routine!  This is a profession that requires changes on the fly and thinking on your feet.

I did come across a great quote by Theodore Roosevelt:

"It is hard to fail, but it is worse never to have tried to succeed."

What a great quote!  You will find it hard to get back onto the horse that bucked you off, if you had never gotten on the horse in the first place!  This is the great regrets that we face as we grow older, the opportunities that we haven't taken advantage of, or rather the things that we have never tried!

It is impossible to know what you're capable of accomplishing anything without trying it out first.  Even when you fail, you keep trying to succeed, it will amaze you what you can accomplish, after you fail at something!

365 Things to Do Around Cedar City #159….Giving Back plus the Arts and Athletics…..

Monday is usually a pretty event free day here in Cedar City.  I don’t know if it because people are getting back into the rhythm of working after a weekend or just why.  There are somethings going on this Monday however.  One is a very important cause, the other two are fun things!  First off, There is a Red Cross Blood Drive today between 3 and 8 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church. (690 Cove Drive in Cedar City)  This is one of the most important things that we can do to help one another, by giving blood, you are literally saving someone else’s life!   So find the time and give the gift of life!

The SUU Theatre Arts and Dance are presenting “Godspell” this will take place at 7:30 PM at the SUU Auditorium Theatre.  Cost is $10 for Adults $5 for Youth.

Athletically, Parowan High School is hosting Cedar High School in Soccer at 4 PM in Parowan.

There is a little variety, so take advantage of that variety and have a great day!

Sunday Photo, house in one of the most beautiful places on Earth….

We took this photo yesterday in Zion National Park.  This is some of the housing for the Rangers and staff.  It is located inside the park's bounderies.  The house is pretty humble, but the view is priceless!
